What we offer - a snapshot

LLAIC is a Lifelong Learning organization in the Metro West area of Boston, Massachusetts (based in Wayland, previously in Wellesley, and Weston):
In Fall 2020 we will begin our seventh year, with over 300 members per semester, having grown from 17 courses in our first semester to 27 in Fall 2020. Membership is only $45 per semester, $80 annual, in line with our policy of keeping costs low to encourage broad membership. That policy applies to our course fees as well.

Courses are our core “business”, ...

(Note that a number of the activities below are on pause during the pandemic, so please check the Quill for announcements.)
Stimulating speakers between morning and afternoon classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Current Events on Wednesdays, and selected events on other days.
Contact Carole Levy with recommendations or questions.
  • Social Groups and Events:
LLAIC Lit-Lovers (formerly Book Club):
The group resumed meeting via Zoom video-conferencing.

A set of activity groups for all you enthusiasts who want to stay active and involved during the summer and beyond. If you have an idea you can help shape what your group does, where it goes, and even what it calls itself. Examples of active groups: the LLAIC Lit-Lovers, Parlez-vous Français? (a French conversation group), and There are no Geniuses on Wall Street (an investment discussion group).

The LILAC Players, your friends, colleagues and course leaders, read their parts while costumed and perform theatrical pieces.

The LILAC Players presented Arsenic and Old Lace in three Zoom sessions: May 27, 28, 29 (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday). For more information, click here; for the program, click here.
