What we offer - a snapshot

LLAIC is a Lifelong Learning organization in the Metro West area of Boston, Massachusetts (based in Wayland, previously in Wellesley, and Weston):
We are looking ahead to our sixth year, with over 300 members per semester, and have grown from 17 courses in our first semester to 31 in Fall 2019. Membership is only $45 per semester, $80 annual (fees effective July 1, 2019), in line with our policy of keeping costs low to encourage broad membership. That policy applies to our course fees as well.

Courses are our core “business”:
Fall 2019 courses will be open for registration on July 18 at 10:00 am (first-come, first-served; membership required). To view our course archive, click here

... and besides a diverse and exciting Course Program, we are pleased to offer ...
Stimulating speakers between morning and afternoon classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Current Events on Wednesdays, and selected events on other days.
Contact Carole Levy with recommendations or questions.
  • Social Groups and Events:
Outings between and during semesters. Visit museums and other venues with new and old friends. We plan is to have one such outing per month.
For some past Let's Go outings, visit our Events Archive

Movie Mavens:
Meet for a movie, and conversation afterward over a meal or snack.
LLAIC Lit-Lovers (formerly Book Club):
The group meets at Temple Shir Tikva at 10:30 a.m. on the second Friday of each month (formerly at the Morse Institute Library in Natick).

Dine and see a play with old and new friends.

A set of "meet and go" activity groups for all you enthusiasts who want to stay active and involved during the summer and beyond. If you have an idea you can help shape what your group does, where it goes, and even what it calls itself. Examples of active groups: the LLAIC Lit-Lovers, Movie Mavens, Parlez-vous Français? (a French conversation group), and
There are no Geniuses on Wall Street (an investment discussion group).

The LILAC Players, your friends, colleagues and course leaders, read their parts while costumed and perform theatrical pieces.  For pictures of the LILAC PLAYERS in their Fall 2017 production, click here.
