Dear LLAIC Community,

You are receiving this email through our ProClass software in addition to The Quick Quill to be sure you are aware of the delay of the start of the semester.

This has been a tough winter for all of us in the greater Boston area. Because of the enormous amount of snow and the difficulty in hiring equipment to cart it away, Temple Beth Elohim currently has a reduced number of parking spaces available. There would not be sufficient parking available to accommodate our members for courses.  The side streets are not usable as alternative parking areas at this time either.

Therefore, acting in the best interests of the safety and well-being of our members, the board has voted to postpone opening of the spring semester at Temple Beth Elohim by one week until March 2. Even then it may be necessary to move some of the more highly populated classes to Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland temporarily. We are fortunate to have this option available to us.

Tuesday classes and The New Yorker Colloquium at Temple Shir Tikva are still going forward and will begin on February 24 as scheduled. There is not an issue with snow obstructing parking at Shir Tikva at this time.

We appreciate your understanding.

The Board of LLAIC

The strong results from our recent survey, indicating that so many of you would be interested in being part of such a group, have given us the encouragement to sign a space agreement with Temple Beth Elohim in Wellesley. This magnificent, modern, two-year old facility, near the intersection of routes 128 (95) and 9, is offering us spacious, bright and airy rooms and a welcoming atmosphere in which to house our secular program and to share it with you and all our friends of every race and religion.
